Fresh on the table – the Paperino’s West End pledge
Paperino’s West End, the restaurant which has been a runaway success in Glasgow’s cosmopolitan Byres Road dining district, is making a pledge to its diners that all its dishes will be individually and freshly prepared for them – no matter how busy the restaurant becomes.
Fresh produce, professionally and innovatively prepared, has been at the core of the Paperino’s offering, and its remarkable reception from the area’s discerning diners has meant that it has had to double its staff, from 24 to 48, since it opened just over a month ago.
Paperino’s West End was born out of the eponymous Sauchiehall Street restaurant, which brought a crisp slant to Italian food, and owners Stefano and Sandro Giovanazzi want the new outlet to emphasise traditional Italian cuisine in a relaxed, neighbourhood setting.
It combines the extensive range of dishes found in the original restaurant with a new takeaway service, early morning coffee and pastries, a tasty and healthy children’s menu and a family-friendly environment
Stefano Giovanazzi said: “Good, fresh food is one of life’s great pleasures – that is something Italians have always recognised – and that is why we want to share that pleasure with our customers.
“We pledge that each dish will be started from scratch only when the order reaches the kitchen. We understand that our diners may have to wait a few moments longer for their meal, but we are confident that the quality of the food on their plates will outweigh any small delay.”
